The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, a modern instrument orchestra with a small size, clear sound, and flexible and ambitious musicality, was an orchestra that could embody Arnoncourt's ideals and always responded to his strict demands, to which Arnoncourt continued to place special trust and affection.
