The composition of this album, which delves deeply into contemporary issues of fearlessness, dependency, nonconformity, and impermanence, was a collaborative effort. After the shock of the pandemic shutdown, close friends and mutual admirers quickly realized that \"tomorrow\" was not promised. Iero said, \"I really didn't know if the day would ever come when we would be able to play this song together, in fact, none of us lifelong musicians would ever be able to play music for a live audience again.\" He also commented that \"Permanent Rebellion\" is a song about reclaiming what is yours.
