The film is composed of excerpts from Karajan's various video works, from his performances in Japan in 1957 to Bruckner's Symphony No. 8 in 1988. Karajan, who was actively involved in the progressive use of the latest media, was particularly concerned with \"video. This documentary by Georg Wübold clearly shows how Karajan was inspired by the video recording of his first concert in Japan with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1957, and how he realized the great potential of video for classical music, and how he continued to insist on video recording.Bonus footage includes the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 (1967) and Orchestral Suite No. 2 (1968), performed by the Berlin Philharmonic and Karajan.
