Formed in 1987 by ex-Pussy Galore member Neil Hagerty (Vo / G) and then-girlfriend Jennifer Herrema (Vo), Royal Trux successfully deconstructed alternative rock with dissonant guitars and time signatures. Often described as garage rock in their sound, Royal Trux set the blueprint for lo-fi indie in a complex examination of a more complex, self-destructive lifestyle.
