Toshio Hosokawa's \"On the River\" for harp solo quotes an episode in Hermann Hesse's \"Siddhartha\" in which a man is enlightened by listening to the sound of a river. Beyond the Blue\" by Jörg-Peter Mittmann is a sound poem that is no less than Matsuo Basho's. Sue Rika Kishino writes works in which nature and beauty are interwoven. Lament\" is a reflection on the tsunami and nuclear accident that struck Fukushima after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and is inspired by the Soma folk song \"Soma Nagareyama\" (\"Soma Streaming Mountain\").
