Featuring \"Baci soavi (Sweet, Beloved Kisses)\" set to Giovanni Battista Guarini's poem \"Various Kisses,\" and \"Capitolo (Chapter)\" set to Luigi Tansillo's text, considered Malenzio's masterpiece. This program features these two ambitious madrigal collections alongside popular contemporary pieces such as \"Cruel and Cold Death\" and \"The Beautiful Song of Clori.\" Musica Ficta is a vocal ensemble founded in Copenhagen in 1996 by composer and conductor Bo Horten (1948-).The ensemble has gained popularity and acclaim through concerts and recordings, blending the early music traditions of Oxford and Cambridge Universities with the warm choral sound of Scandinavia.
