The booklet contains numerous photographs and images, primarily provided from Paul Dunmore’s archive.\nWhen asked about his band “Whatever”—“Is it jazz, or is it folk?”—Danny Thompson replied, “Well, it’s ‘Whatever’!” That is the origin of the band’s name.\nDanny formed the trio “Whatever” with lead musician Tony Roberts and guitarist Bernie Holland, and in 1988, he produced his first album as bandleader. At the time, he said the following: “I was thinking of making a melodic instrumental album that incorporated elements of jazz and folk and had a unique, distinctly British flavor.” He also said, “Jazz or folk?
