He studied composition with Falla, who spent the last years of his life there, and orchestration with Jaime Pajsa, a musicologist also living in exile in Buenos Aires. Grau left behind more than 200 diverse compositions, all of which have a distinctly Spanish flavor. The album includes four concerto works: the lyrical and mystical \"Concerto de Juste,\" inspired by the Juste monastery in Spain; the \"Double Concertino,\" featuring viola and piano; the \"Clarinet Concerto,\" based on the cheerful Argentinean folk dance \"Chacalera\"; and the \"Clarinet Concerto,\" a piece for clarinet, based on the Spanish dance \"Chacalera. Clarinet Concerto,\" and \"To the Flowers of Gunido,\" inspired by a poem by Garcilaso de la Vega, one of the most famous poets of the Spanish Renaissance.
