This something simmering or nostalgic.... This is the pleasure of listening to Teiberg (1893-1944). Born into a musical family in Vienna, he was sent to Auschwitz because he was Jewish, and ended his life there. Of course, the Buffalo Philharmonic's sound is superb, so much so that one has probably never heard the Teiberg in such good sound.The piano sonata is written in such a traditional style that it seems like a living copy of Beethoven's.
