Is this really true? The sound quality is dry and hard, but if you listen to it in the clearer sound of this disc, you will understand what Furtwängler was trying to do. In any case, this is a very valuable recording of the only Fifth Furtwängler ever conducted. The cut in the 4th movement is Furtwängler's own, not a missing sound. The unintentional applause at measure 471 of the 4th movement is included without cutting. Perhaps because of the small size of Haydn's orchestra, we are surprised at the richness of the sound (for example, at the beginning of the first movement, we can clearly hear Furtwängler gasping for air in time with the music). The performance is also extremely hot and fiery, just like a live performance, and may be the best performance by Furtwängler and the Torino Italiana Symphony Orchestra. (Warning) This is an acetate disc as the original recording, so it contains noise similar to that of an SP disc. Please note that the Tchaikovsky in particular contains slight level fluctuations that cannot be repaired.(Naoya Hirabayashi) King International\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Grand Slam","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45487018803489,"sku":"4909346311848","price":24.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/products\/4909346311848.jpg?v=1687269196","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ec\/products\/4909346311848","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
