The original score for piano and orchestra has been reimagined for a piano, strings, and flute ensemble, portraying the torrent of sorrow and the intensity dwelling in the human heart with a contemporary sound. Furthermore, this 2-disc set features a total of 16 tracks, including Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,” Toru Takemitsu’s “The Face of Another” and “Small Sky,” and Takashi Yoshimatsu’s “The Wife of Villon.” Through the unique tension and passionate performances characteristic of ElCielo2020, these masterpieces are revived with new life and drama.
