A masterpiece recording by legendary engineer Wilkinson. Rudolf Kempe (1910-76) accomplished the feat of recording the complete orchestral works of R. Strauss in the analog LP era. His ability to capture the essence of Strauss's complex and brilliant orchestrations and to bring out a solid and solid sound is an indication of Kempe's greatness as the greatest Strauss conductor of the 20th century along with Karajan, Sell, and Böhm. Kempe was appointed principal conductor of the Royal Philharmonic in 1960 at the behest of the famous British conductor Thomas Beecham, and by 1975, when he retired, he had expanded the Philharmonic's repertoire, toured the world, and developed it into one of the leading ensembles in the United Kingdom. Kempe conducted the \"Alpine Symphony\" for the first time in his life with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in April 1966, and this recording was made shortly thereafter by RCA. The spacious sound, recorded at Kingsway Hall by Decca's renowned engineer Kenneth Wilkinson, remains fresh to this day. ●Only in Japan ●Remastered in 2021 ●Recording date: April 27, 1966 \/ Location: Kingsway Hall, London\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Sony Music","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":40179744800828,"sku":"4547366530940","price":23.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/products\/4547366530940.jpg?v=1655368670","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ec\/products\/4547366530940","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
