The album was finalized at Echo Zoo, a studio in Eastbourne, with input from friend and producer Dave Izumi Lynch.Harcourt recalls, \"I gave him a bunch of tracks and he said 'yes, yes, no, no,' and we ended up with 12 songs, which we finished and mixed.\" The spirit of El Magnifico owes much to Harcourt's initial approach to songwriting and recording.
