He is releasing a new studio album, his first in four years since his #2 UK album "SAVAGE: SONGS FROM A BROKEN WORLD" released in 2017. The new album "INTRUDER" can be seen as a sequel to "SAVAGE", which depicted a world and mankind greatly affected by the effects of global warming. While the previous album depicted the "affected" side, this new album is said to consider environmental destruction from the "Earth's" perspective. Climate change is definitely a sign from the Earth that it's had enough, that it's taken the necessary actions to get rid of us, and to explain why it had to do it," Newman said. "...The planet has neglected its well-being because its children have acted senselessly and selfishly. The earth has been betrayed, wounded, and ravaged. Disillusioned and disappointed, the Earth now begins to take revenge. The title track "Intruder" and "I Am Screaming" are currently available on the album, which sounds like gothic electro music from a near-future dystopian world, The music video for "Intruder" and "I Am Screaming" will give you a sense of the message and worldview he is expressing in this album.For the album, Newman has once again teamed up with Aide Fenton, who has produced many of Newman's albums since the 2000s, including "JAGGED", "DEAD SON RISING", "SPLINTER", and "SAVAGE". For the new album, Newman is also running a new "Making Music Campaign" on his official website, where fans can receive detailed updates on the making of the album in audio, video, and text form. Gary Numan has produced 23 Top 40 UK singles and 15 Top 15 UK albums, and was awarded the prestigious Ivor Novello Award in 2017 for "Inspiration Award for Songwriting and Composition. Newman.
