The great Klemperer (1885-1973) appears on audite's Deutschlandkultur series \"Klemperer in Berlin\". This is a remarkable program featuring Beethoven, Mozart, Mahler, and other great masters. After making his conducting debut in Prague in 1907 on Mahler's recommendation, Klemperer quickly rose to prominence as one of Germany's leading conductors, holding positions at such opera houses as Barmen, Strasburg, Cologne, and Wiesbaden. One of the most important activities of Klemperer's career was his work with the Krolloper, which began in 1927. The Krolloper was founded as a division of the Berlin State Opera, and under Klemperer's direction, many of his contemporaries were actively introduced, including Hindemith's \"Kardijak\" and \"Today's News,\" Schoenberg's \"Expectations\" and \"The Happy Hand,\" and Stravinsky's \"King Oedipus\" and \"Mavra,\" which Klemperer himself directed. While actively introducing works of the same period, Klemperer also attempted new, modern productions of old, well-known pieces, but his ambitious attempts provoked a great deal of support and opposition. In 1931, the theater was forced to close due to Germany's economic crisis and right-wing pressure from the Nazis, and in 1933, Klemperer finally fled the Nazi regime and emigrated to the United States. Because of these circumstances, and perhaps because of the cultural and political climate, the Berlin State Opera, with which Klemperer had a prewar connection, refused to have any contact with him after his return to Europe after World War II, and although the Berlin Philharmonic and the RIAS Symphony Orchestra invited him as a guest, \"Klemperer in Berlin\" was not performed by the Berlin Philharmonic and the RIAS Symphony Orchestra. Although the Berlin Philharmonic and RIAS Symphony Orchestra have invited Klemperer to perform as a guest artist, the absolute number of \"Klemperer in Berlin\" performances is not large, so it is extremely significant that the recordings are released together. The fact that all the recordings are the first authorized reissue from the original masters is also a major point. The set included Beethoven's famous Beethoven, whose rigorous counterpoint is a milestone, and Mozart's profound Mozart, as well as Mahler's symphonies, Klemperer's best-known program, and most of the performances that are well-known to his fans, The majority of the performances are well known to fans, but it is also worth noting that the Piano Concerto No. 3 with Liebensraum (born in 1906 in Königsberg), who studied under Schnabel and was known as a Beethoven player, as soloist, and the Hindemith, which has a strong memory of the Kroll era, are probably the first recordings of their respective works to be included.
