He has previously collaborated with artists such as Common, Tom Misch, Lizzie McAlpine, and FKJ, and his talent has been highly praised by Sam Smith and Gilles Peterson. In 2024, he released his major-label debut album, *The Loop*, and his collaboration with STUTS, “Celebrate,” generated significant buzz in Japan. His double-bill tour in Japan was also a huge success.\n\nHe reportedly set no specific rules for the production of this album, prioritizing freedom, experimentation, and authenticity. Recording took place at Abbey Road Studios and in his home studio. He first created about 50 demos at Abbey Road, then refined them at home until they reached their final form; ultimately, 20 tracks were recorded over a two-week period. From tracks featuring striking strings reminiscent of John Barry, to songs that pay homage to 1970s soul and funk, to dark electronica reminiscent of Björk and Otake, and tracks with simple, catchy melodies—the sound is so diverse that even Jordan himself is surprised. As he says, “I was able to express my true self exactly as I am,” and the album truly embodies his authentic self through music.\n\n“In the past, I felt pressure to live up to others’ expectations and evaluations. But now that I’ve had a child and realized my dream of performing at the Royal Albert Hall, I’ve set a new goal. This marks the beginning of the second chapter of my career. I’ve reached a point where I can reflect every aspect of myself in my songs without worrying about fear or other people’s judgments. It’s like I’ve returned to that feeling I had when I was 13, making beats in my room just for the pure joy of music. I don’t care what people think anymore. And through this album, I’d be happy if listeners could experience a wide range of emotions. After all, I’m singing about my family, my loved ones, and my own anxieties.
