Omer Meir Welber, born in Beersheba, Israel in 1981, is a conductor and composer who worked as an assistant to Daniel Barenboim from 2008 to 2010, and emerged as an outstanding conductor at the Saito Kinen Festival in 2010, conducting the opera \"Salome\" as a substitute for Seiji Ozawa.
