After the breakup of Siren, John Peel fell in love with Kevin Coyne, which led to his solo debut in the 90's. In the 80's, he had a mental breakdown and became addicted to alcohol. He then released his 1992 album \"Burning Head\" in a limited edition of 1,000 CDs, with each CD jacket painted and signed by Kevin, who was also a painter.The following album, 1993, has a similar sound, with the same quirky, gruff vocals, but with a much more sophisticated and crisp pop-rock sound.
