The trio consists of Odd Erlend Mikkelsen (g), guitarist for Norwegian stoner rock band KRYPTOGRAF and post-metal band DREAMARCHER, Amund Nordstrom (drs), a drummer from a music academy, and bassist Oystein Hoynes (b), already well-known in the Scandinavian jazz scene. The Bergen, Norway-based jazz trio, formed by bassist Oystein Hoynes (b), who is already a well-known presence in the Scandinavian jazz scene, released their debut album in 2010 on Is It Jazz? This is a limited analog edition with red colored vinyl. The album, which references everything from classic New Orleans jazz to current Scandinavian jazz, features both heartwarming, elegant numbers and energetic, vibrant numbers, and presents a cutting-edge, contemporary sound that blends melody, rhythm, harmony, and improvisation without any sense of discomfort.
