The \"sounds of Chopin's time\" were played continuously for about two weeks.NIFC is proud to present a live recording of Martin Nubauer, the only contestant in the 2nd International Chopin Competition for Period Instruments who made it to the finals without receiving a single \"no\" from the entire jury! Born in Austria in 1997, Nubauer has been playing period instruments since he was 14 years old, and in 2016, he won third place at the Bruges International Old Music Competition, behind only Shigehiko Kawaguchi, who won the highest prize (second place without first prize). At the 2nd Chopin International Competition for Period Instruments in 2023, which is recorded here, he played four different period instruments and flexibly adapted to the individuality of each instrument. Although she narrowly missed out on a prize, her sensitive and romantic performance moved the audience and attracted a great deal of attention. This live recording includes the performances of the first and second stages, which were given a \"Yes\" rating by all the judges.
