Graham Collier had started a label called Mosaic and invited me to record specifically for that label, and BBC engineer Pete Freshney was able to record at the BBC's Transcription Studios in Shepherds Bush. The place had a great piano, and I had a great time. There was a great piano there, and Pete was an excellent jazz engineer and fan. I led the quartet for about 10 years and was a regular broadcaster for the BBC Jazz Club and Jazz in Britain\/Jazz Today, represented the BBC at the Molde Jazz Festival in Norway, and was a regular guest on the BBC Jazz Club and Jazz in Britain\/Jazz Today. It was an incredibly rich period of musical growth for me. John Taylor was a tremendous influence on me as a pianist, composer, and friend. Ron and Tony were an established team who had played with Tubby Hayes and were very dynamic and full of jazz energy.The record was a chance to document my own music, and it was filled with the exuberance of youth. Soon the players were establishing their own musical directions. John Taylor was firmly established in Europe and ECM, Tony Levin had moved into free music with Keith Tippett and Paul Dunmall, and Ron was very busy with Ronnie Scott. It was a great musical experience and remains a wonderful memory.\" Stan Saltzman, February 2023\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Jazz In Britain","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47720103444769,"sku":"5060774190500","price":201.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5060774190500.jpg?v=1703530828","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/5060774190500","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
