The conductors featured are, in order of tenure, Mengelberg, Baynum, Haitink, Chailly, Jansons, and Gatti. This remarkable set includes first-ever recordings, newly remastered recordings, and the first CD release of recordings that were previously only available on video. Limited quantity production.\n\n\n\nWhen Mahler conducted his own works with the Concertgebouw Orchestra for the first time in 1903, he was amazed by the high caliber of both orchestra and audience, and continued the relationship until his death in 1911. Since then, successive chief conductors have taken up Mahler's music from time to time, and Mahler continues to be special to orchestras as well. The performances, in which the individual personalities of each conductor are fully expressed, show the orchestra's forward-looking attitude, always deepening its traditions by providing new stimulation.\n\n\n\nThe historic recordings of Mengelberg's No. 4 (39) and Baynum's No. 3 (57) can be heard in newly remastered recordings made by the RCO label. The performances by Mengelberg, who was chief conductor from 1895, worked with Mahler and devoted his life's passion to the Concertgebouw, are especially valuable and legendary. The performance by Haitink, including the first appearance of No. 6 and \"Ode to the Earth,\" are all masterpieces from 2000 onward and have a different charm from the Philips complete works. No. 10 is the version completed by Cook and performed by Chailly. The Decca complete works include only the recording of No. 10 with the Rundfunk Symphonieorchester Berlin, so this is also a very valuable first release.\n\nRCO LIVE\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Rco Live","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51431695253793,"sku":"5021732441478","price":1219.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5021732441478.jpg?v=1751196152","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/5021732441478","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
