Based on an episode of the Greek myth of Prometheus, it depicts the process of infusing reason and emotion into a clay statue he created, and his subsequent interactions with the gods. Although no detailed script has survived, a solo for the client Vigano is also provided (track 17), indicating that the work was a showpiece. Segerstam plays each piece with a crisp expression. Segerstam breathes new life into this secret work, of which only the overture is known. We can also see how the theme of the \"Eroica\" in the finale was transformed into the last movement of the \"Symphony No. 3\". It will also be interesting to compare with the piano version (8.573974).
