Haydn wrote only three concertos for harpsichord or piano, including the well-known No. 11 Hob. XVIII:11, but in this collection, Cao plays all nine concertos (except for the one considered a fake) for harpsichord, fortepiano, and organ on modern piano The works are all for harpsichord, fortepiano, and organ. The concertos range from early works in the rococo style to large-scale works comparable to Mozart's piano concertos, all performed with great brilliance. The organ concertos are performed in a new edition of the score released in 2020, and this is the first recording of the concertos in this format.
