His period of activity was on the edge of the Baroque and Classical periods, a time when keyboard instruments were developing from the harpsichord to the fortepiano. Although his works for keyboard are not marked with intensity markings, some of them contain notes that could not be produced in the range of the harpsichord at that time, and we cannot deny the possibility that they were written for the newly invented fortepiano. Although all of the pieces are in the standard three-movement form, the style is original, with pleasant Italian-style melodies full of song and technical passages. The soloist is Italian organist and harpsichordist Roberto Lorejan. He studied under Tom Copeman at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and is dedicated to introducing unknown works. The fluent performance by L'Arte Dell'Arco, an authority on Italian Baroque works led by Federico Guglielmo, is also a highlight of the concert.
