The compilation album is finally available on vinyl! The Last Show: Chika Masahiko's Anata Makase\" was a weekly program featuring songs and talks by leading cultural figures of the Showa era, but the recordings are no longer stored at TBS Radio, and the program has become a rare and mysterious program that cannot be heard. However, thanks to the efforts of a fan who was an avid listener of the program, a tape recording of the program in good condition was unearthed in Sato's office warehouse. The tapes, revived after nearly half a century, were filled with \"new Japanese songs\" that were neither songs nor jazz, but rather \"new Japanese songs\" created by the two young singers with all their might. Nakayama had released his big hit song \"Anata no Kokoro\" in 1969, but around the time of this program, he and Sato vowed to part ways with the enka and idol pop songs of the time, and created \"New Nippon no Uta,\" incorporating elements of jazz and Japanese folk music, which was Sato's main profession, into the program. He then presented them one after another as \"Songs of the Month\" on his TV programs. The variety and sophistication of his music is the very essence of the sparkle of these two young talents. Nakayama's elongated voice, which had received proper singing education from childhood, conveys the charm of \"New Japanese Songs\" in a straightforward manner. Composed by Masahiko Sato on piano, Nakayama is a rare melody maker. Listening to the songs on this album, you will be convinced that he is a rare melody maker. The chord progressions are varied and the freshness of the music has not lost its luster. In particular, lyrical songs such as \"Shikan face Blues,\" \"Atashi no Shigatsu,\" \"Jugatsu wa Tasogare no Kuni,\" \"Nono no Hana,\" and \"Yamato Inagari Uta\" are of such high quality that they could be called art songs. Many of the songs were recorded at the TBS radio studio, so the accompaniment is often Sato's piano solo. And this piano is very skillful. It is not just an accompaniment, but a comprehensive sublimation of the music with singing and piano. It is an almost miraculous feat.Some of the songs were also re-recorded in \"Futari no Hitori Goto\" (1973\/Trio Records) and \"Senka Aru Hitori Onna\" (1975\/Colombia). Nakayama designed the cover artwork. Latest remastering by Sato Masahiko. Booklet contains program materials and lyrics from the time, as well as a newly recorded trilogy discussion with Nakayama, Sato, and the director at the time.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Solid Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47773291086113,"sku":"4526180677307","price":242.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4526180677307.jpg?v=1704667377","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/4526180677307","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
