Born in Hungary, Andras Hamary studied at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music in Budapest before beginning his career as a concert pianist in Hanover under Hans Reigraf. With a wide repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary music, his performances of Mozart, Schubert, and Debussy in particular established him as a first-rate pianist. On the other hand, he also studied composition under the Croatian composer Mirko Kelemen and received the City of Stuttgart Composition Prize for his five works for orchestra \"Timor - Fragmente zur Angst1\". Included in this album are 24 preludes written for piano. The work is accompanied by a dedication, \"Dedicated with great affection to Markus Berheim. The accompanying bonus DVD (PAL format) includes video animations for each piece, which were created almost simultaneously with the music.This DVD is in PAL format and can only be played on PAL compatible players and PCs.
