Weird Herald is a band from Los Gatos, California, featuring legendary San Jose\/Santa Cruz area guitarist Billy Dean Andrus and Paul Ziegler, who later played in Hot Tuna. With roots in the early San Jose folk\/coffee house scene, they were close friends with Yoma Korkonen of Jefferson Airplane and often jammed with them. Billy was a good friend of Skip Spence's from high school, and the two worked together as a folk duo in their early years, producing the promo singles \"Saratoga James\" and \"Just Yesterday\" in 1968. The album is a soundtrack of a phantom album that was produced at the same time but never released.\n\n\n\nThe songs \"Untitled\" and \"David Of Bijou,\" with their spacy acoustic guitar playing and delicate vocal harmonies, the cool, laid-back country-folk of \"Reapin' Seasons,\" and \"Where I'm Bound,\" with its Byrds-esque atmosphere of \"The Great Bird Brothers,\" and the energetic hard rock of early Moby Grape and Jefferson Airplane, are all on display. The album features a wide range of sounds, from the cool, laid-back country-folk of \"Where I'm Bound\" to the energetic hard rock of the early Moby Grape and Jefferson Airplane era. After making this album, Billy died of a drug overdose in the Santa Cruz Mountains, ending a band with great potential. The detailed liner notes include comments from Andras' family and band members, as well as rare photos.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Guerssen Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51105763688737,"sku":"4255805500248","price":130.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4255805500248.jpg?v=1743422401","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/4255805500248","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
