Vivaldi Editions Cantatas for Soprano! Vendittelli's overwhelmingly sung Vivaldi Edition No. 68 is the first of a collection of cantatas for soprano. All are secular cantatas, the subject of which is "love". Soprano Arianna Vendittelli, who studied violin before devoting herself to singing, was active at a young age with her wide range, especially in Mozart, and has often collaborated with Muti. She has been nominated by famous conductors to perform in old music as well, and has already appeared in the Vivaldi editions of "Giustino" (OP 30571) and "Tamerlano" (OP 7080) under the direction of D'Antone. The cantata recorded here is sung with so much energy in every note that you would think Vivaldi had written it for her. From the joys of love to the sorrows, the richly expressive virtuosity of her voice, as well as the virtuosity of the instrumental ensemble and the playful embellishments, this is like an opera.Vivaldi's works sound more vivid than ever!
