Both George III's wife, Charlotte, was a discerning musician, and London underwent a great revival as the musical capital of England. Master musicians and composers from all over Europe flocked to London to compete in originality and modernity. In addition, J.C. Bach, son of J.C. Bach, started the first reserved season concerts in England in 1764-1765 in London with Abel. It was at these concerts that Haydn's works were performed for the first time in England. From concertos for viola da gamba to works for glass harp, this album gives us a sense of the lively atmosphere of London, the musical capital of the time. La Reveuse, an old music ensemble founded by Banjaman Perrault and Florence Bolton, focuses its repertoire on music of the 17th and 18th centuries.Banjaman Perrault studied lute, theorbo, and baroque guitar, playing solo and in ensembles (such as Les Arts Florissants and Conseil Spirituelle). Florence Bolton began studying recorder and harpsichord at the age of 7, but was fascinated by instruments played with a bow and majored in viola da gamba. He also has a master's degree in Japanese.\n\nThe glass harp is a wineglass-like glass with legs that is filled with water and rubbed on the edge of the glass to produce sound. Several glass harps are arranged in a row, and the sound is changed according to the amount of water, producing melodies and other sounds. The instrument had the disadvantage of losing its tuning as the water evaporated. Later, Benjamin Franklin created a more precise glass harmonica, and Mozart also wrote a piece for the glass harmonica. Mozart also wrote a piece for the glass harp. The composer of this piece for the glass harp was Anne Ford, a boisterous beauty of the time. A boisterous middle-class native, she toured in white in 1760, enchanting audiences with her enchanting siren-like voice. She played a variety of instruments, including glass harp, arch lute, viola da gamba, and guitar.In the fall of 1761, he published a guide for women to learn the glass harp and guitar, although it seems to have already become forgotten.\n\nThe English guitar is a 6-7 string instrument, a member of the cittern family. It is a basic instrument with open strings tuned to C major, and because of its simplicity, it was rapidly spreading among English families at the time as being easier than learning the harpsichord. It spread at such a tremendous rate that it was even penned by popular composers of the time from abroad, such as Rudolf Straube and Geminiani.\n\nHARMONIA MUNDI\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Harmonia Mundi","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51647426461985,"sku":"3149020953792","price":225.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/3149020953792.jpg?v=1756800774","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/3149020953792","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
