This is the first time they have recorded together. This first recording for Decca Classics was made after Nicolas, Scheck and Benjamin toured throughout the UK in 2023 with the Philharmonia Orchestra and its principal conductor, Santu-Mathias Rouvali. That recording was followed by a selection from Beethoven's rarely performed folk song cycle, performed with baritone Gerald Finley. These Scottish, Welsh, Irish, and English folk songs reflect the performers' roots.The album concludes with a performance by the three of \"Songs of Londonderry,\" arranged by Fritz Kreisler, also known as \"Danny Boy.\n\nThe three soloists played harmoniously without losing any of their individuality. Cellist Sheku Canay-Mason was a lyrical visionary, violinist Nicola Benedetti a vivacious energizer, and pianist Benjamin Groebner acted as a shifting intermediary between the two. Their playing was outstandingly skillful, engaging the audience, and full of personality.\"--The Times\n\n\n\n(UNIVERSAL MUSIC\/IMS)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Decca","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48993297793313,"sku":"28948546244","price":146.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/28948546244.jpg?v=1715601119","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-dk\/products\/28948546244","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
