A gem of an experimental work by two leading European jazz musicians, Till Brenner (Tp.) and Dieter Ilg (Ba.), both from Germany, in a new album with only two members. Till Brenner also generously showcased his equally acclaimed singing on his previous album, "The Good Life" (2016), but he has sealed the deal on this album. Together with longtime career ally Dieter Ilg, he recorded pop, jazz, and classical classics, as well as two originals. The two are so exquisitely timed and expressively versatile that you forget at first listen that they are only playing trumpet and double bass, and you are invited into their world. The tension and ideas of jazz are scattered throughout the album, and you can enjoy the endless charm of jazz.
