Description:

The handsome Spörzl, who has charmed audiences with his performances of "Zygoinelwaizen," J.S. Bach, and even famous soundtrack songs, will play them all! Litmíšl, a small town in the Bohemian region of central Czech Republic, was the birthplace of the great Czech composer Smetana, and is also known for Litmíšl Castle, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Litmíšl Castle, built in the 16th century in the Renaissance style, is the venue for the annual Smetana Litmíšl Music Festival, the most prestigious classical music festival in the Czech Republic after the Prague Spring International Music Festival.Czech-born Pavel Spörzl performed with the Slovakian zimbalon band Romano Stilo in an outdoor concert in the courtyard of the Litomysl Castle during the Smetana Litomysl Music Festival in mid-June, 2010. The same lineup was used for the 2008 concert. This is a video version of the much-talked-about album of the same name (SU.3951) recorded live in Prague in 2008, featuring the same lineup, with a significant portion of the program overlapping. This time, too, the program is unique, featuring Gypsy, Russian, Hungarian, and Romanian folk music, as well as classical repertoire by Sarasate, J.S. Bach, and Khachaturian, and even impressive violin arrangements such as "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Schindler's List. The program is rich in variations, including arrangements of film scores that feature violins, such as "Violin on the Roof" and "Schindler's List".The collaboration between Sporzl and the Gypsy Band, whose trademark "Blue Violin" is a genre-defying activity, is a show of showmanship that is dedicated to entertaining the audience. The video shows them in full swing, and gives the audience a straightforward sense of the joy of the music. King International Inc.
