Description:

Brüchen, an authority in the world of ancient music, and Zertmeier, a genius! It has been several years since the release of Mozart's "Requiem" (GCD921105), which was performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and Mozart's "Clarinet Concerto" (GCD921107), which was performed by Hoplitsch, the principal clarinetist of the 18th century orchestra, on a restored instrument based on new materials. It has been several years since its release. The latest release of the 18th Century Orchestra from Glossa, after a long period of obscurity, is a collection of Mozart violin concertos and concerto symphonies by the Austrian genius Zertmeyer and world authority on ancient music, Brüchen! Recorded live in Curitiba, Brazil, Utrecht, Holland, and Rotterdam, Mozart's Violin Concertos Nos. 1, 4 & 5 are played by Zertmeyer, and the Concerto Symphony and Violin Concertos Nos. 3 & 2 are conducted by Brüchen. The combination of Brüchen and Zertmeyer, who also gave a masterful performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto when they were at Philips, has led to immeasurable expectations for their further evolution with Mozart. In the concerto symphony, the soloist is Ruth Kilius, a member of the "Zertmayer Quartet," and a highly trusted member of not only the leader, Zertmayer, but also Brüchen. The cast has been carefully selected, including not only the leader, Zoetmayer, but also the soloist, Ruth Kilius, a female viola player who is highly trusted by Brüchen and has been invited to the world tours of the 18th Century Orchestra! Brüchen, who never compromises when it comes to releasing recordings as well as concert performances, has given his stamp of approval to this Mozart program with Zertmeyer. This is a must-see!
