Description:

Billed as a family opera, it is based on an original story by German children's author Kurt Heldt. Originally a writer of proletarian literature, he escaped persecution by the Nazis and fled to Switzerland. His rebellious style is fully expressed in this work for children. The protagonist is Blanco, a 12-year-old boy who loses his home when his mother dies (his father, a wandering violin player, never comes home). Blanco, at his wits' end, picks up a fish on the street and is caught by the police, but it is a red-haired girl named Zora who offers him a hand. Blanco and his friends live a strong life, doing little bad things. The commotion in the town around them is depicted with a strong rhythm along with the beautiful Mediterranean atmosphere.Unfortunately, the singers do not look like "boys and girls," but the messiness and vitality of the story will be fully conveyed.
