Luca Scherani is a keyboard player from Italy who has been playing in many current Italian rock bands/projects around Fabio Zuffanti such as LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO/TRAMA/HOSTSONATEN, and recently in THE SAMURAI OF PROG. Luca Scherani's third album, released in 2011, is now available! In addition to her own keyboard performance, Scherani is joined by Joanne Roan (fl) of LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO/HOSTSONATEN, Martin Frederick Grice (sax) of DELIRIUM, and Paolo Tixi (drs) formerly of IL TEMPIO DELLE CLESSIDRE. (drs), and other guest musicians who, like Scherani, are based in northwestern Italy.This time, the arrangements are more focused on non-electronic instruments than the previous album, such as string quartet and piano/flute composed by Sylvia Trabucco (vl) of HOSTSONATEN and others, and the sound has changed to a more graceful classical/chamber-oriented sound while keeping the graceful symphonic rock spirit of the related bands. It is a powerful work that sublimates the essence of prestigious 70s Italian rock in a more subtle form!
