Gardiner is the conductor. Tetzloff has long been a great admirer of Gardiner. Under his direction, every note is not neglected, and every line of the orchestra resonates with purpose. The concerto by Schumann is performed in a little-known \"intermediate draft. Although this is a program of masterpieces, it also shows a very challenging attitude.\n\nSchumann composed the single movement \"Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra\" in 1841. Later, he changed the first movement, made partial changes, added the second and third movements, and completed it in 1845 as the \"Piano Concerto\" as we know it today. It is said that the advice of Clara, who was the soloist, had a great deal to do with this revision.\n\nThe intermediate manuscript used in this concert is attributed to Robert Levin, who succeeded Malcolm Frazier, who discovered and popularized the autograph score of the \"Fantasy\" and continued his research on the manuscript. The opening of the first movement does not begin with a single orchestral stroke, but rather with two semitones up in the solo piano followed by the orchestral response in the same form, an opening that was seen in the \"Fantasy\". This dialogue also appears in the development section of the third movement, giving a sense of unity that was not present in the completed version of the \"Piano Concerto. Although the overall structure of the piece is almost the same, there are many minor changes in orchestration, phrasing, articulation, etc. The woodwinds, in particular, appear more frequently in this manuscript, and they have a lustrous sound. The most appealing feature of this manuscript is that you can listen to all three movements in the style of the \"Fantasy\".\n\nAPARTE","brand":"Aparte","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51929210126625,"sku":"5051083221474","price":30.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5051083221474.jpg?v=1760870515","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-de\/products\/5051083221474","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
