The president of the jury for this competition was Olivier Messiaen himself. Since then, Belov has built a remarkable international career, performing with world-renowned conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Claudio Abbado, Kurt Masur, Daniel Barenboim, Andre Previn, Leonard Bernstein, Pierre Boulez, and Charles Dutoit.\n\nBelov's extensive discography includes complete piano and orchestral works by Liszt, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky, as well as numerous solo piano works by Debussy, Messiaen (he is a renowned interpreter of this composer in particular), Bartók, Schumann, and Mussorgsky. He was also acclaimed for his duets with violinist Augustin Dumay and pianist Jean-Philippe Collard, and made excellent recordings with them, which are also included in this box.
