He succeeded Johann Christian Bach as music teacher to Queen Charlotte of England, contributing to the early piano boom. After retiring from public service, he continued to perform before patrons, including the royal family, and in his later years he trained many students as a teacher.\n\nHarpist Jirke Eichhorn's receipt of the scores of Schlater's three piano concertos, sent to her by a friend in Hamburg, inspired the creation of this album. Since the titles of these pieces were marked \"harpsichord, or pianoforte, or harp,\" he decided to play them on harp, but the scores were problematic and the cadenzas were incomplete. So, while researching on the Internet, a chance encounter led to the acquisition of a document completed by a man named Paul Angeler, which led to a solution. This Paul had conducted the orchestra playing on this recording for 10 years starting in 1971, and through this connection, she says in the booklet, she was able to establish a good relationship with the orchestra.The album also includes one piece from Mozart's piano concerto arranged by Johann Christian Bach, performed on harp.\n\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"CPO","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52171571691809,"sku":"4589538828417","price":22.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538828417.jpg?v=1766641975","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-de\/products\/4589538828417","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
