The album incorporates a lot of both the 60s and 70s style folk music, especially British and Irish acid folk, and the dreamy harmonies of the American West Coast, which Bibio himself describes as a major influence, as well as the Dyla and Madlib samples that he admires so much. There are also glimpses of homage to the soul music of Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Sharp, sampled by the revered J. Dilla and Madlib.This time, he also tried his hand at mandolin and violin, and the ethnic melodies that emerged from them add a new look to the music.
