The Haydn Selections by the Spanzig Quartet are now complete! This is the third Haydn string quartet collection by the Spanzig Quartet, led by Anton Steck, a baroque violinist who has attracted much attention in recent years. The Spanzig Quartet was organized in 1796 by Ignaz Spanzig (1796-1830), a famous Austrian violinist and conductor. In 1996, the bicentennial year of the quartet, the new Spanzig Quartet was born, taking over the traditional name. This third collection of Haydn's string quartets is now complete. The quartet's period approach is not only intense and sharp-edged, but also brings out the new charm of Haydn's string quartets with its pure sound.
