■This spring, Ed Sheeran released his new album "-(Subtract)", the last in his 10-year series of mathematically titled albums, "The Mathmatics Project". As the seasons turn and summer draws to a close, he will deliver a new album to his fans.

The new work, "AUTUMN VARIATIONS," has been announced for release on September 29. The CD booklet includes the lyrics to the songs. The CD booklet includes the lyrics, which will serve as a beacon for those who want to learn more about the stories contained in the album.

■"Last fall, I realized that I and my friends were going through so many life changes. The scorching heat of summer had passed, and they had calmed, settled, broken apart, reached a plateau, and disintegrated," Ed Sheeran says of how the album came to be.

"Early last year, when we met during a difficult time, songwriting helped me understand my feelings and come to terms with what was happening, so when I learned about the various events of my friends, I wrote songs, some from their perspective and some from my own, so that they and I could see how we were seeing the world at the time. I tried to capture how they and I saw the world back then. They depict the highs of falling in love and making new friendships, as well as the lows of heartbreak, disappointment, loneliness, and confusion.

My father and brother taught me about a composer named Elgar, and each of the 14 songs in his Enigma Variations is about one of his friends. This was the inspiration for this album. When I recorded "- (Subtract)" with Aaron Dessner, it went immediately well. We wrote and recorded the album non-stop, and this album came out of that partnership. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do, because I feel he did a great job of capturing the fall vibe sonically.
