Release to Commemorate "Czech Year of Music 2024"! The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra led by Bishkov recorded Dvorak's Symphonies Nos. 7-9! Semyon Bishkov, Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra since October 2018, performed Dvořák on his autumn 2023 tour of Japan, which was a great success. Just prior to the tour, Dvořák's Symphonies Nos. 7, 8, and 9 and the overture "Nature, Life, and Love," recorded at his home base, Dvořák Hall, in late September and early October 2023, will be released as a 2-CD set! Dvořák's last three symphonies are masterpieces from his most productive period as a composer, each composed in an astonishingly wide range of styles and featuring some of the most beautiful melodies of all time. The overture "Nature, Life, and Love" was originally conceived as a trilogy of "In Nature," "Carnival," and "Othello. The three pieces were first performed together on April 28, 1892 at the House of Arts in Prague by the National Theater Orchestra, conducted by Dvořák himself, and were eventually published separately.This collection of overtures also offers the rich sound world of Dvořák.
