Manu Chao, the charismatic leader of Rebel Music who succeeds Bob Marley and the Clash, has released a new studio album. The album features 13 tracks, including the life anthem first single "Viva Tu" and the Willie Nelson collaboration "Heaven's Bad Day," all filled with the same passion and tenderness of Manu Chao. Manu Chao was born and raised in Paris. Influenced by punk rock, he started playing in bands in the mid-80s, and in 1987 he formed the mixed band Mano Negra, which became his breakthrough band and brought him to the world stage. After four albums with Mano Negra, he went solo, releasing a series of albums and establishing himself as a leading figure in the level music scene. Viva Tu" is Manu Chao's fifth studio album as a solo artist. After his last album, "La Radiolina," Manu Chao spent years traveling the world, performing on stage at local venues and small festivals, sometimes on the side of the road or in the street, meeting audiences and bringing his songs to them. Viva Tu" is a song of celebration of life and solidarity. It is an expression of love for all his friends.He preaches acceptance of oneself as one is. In "Sao Paulo Motoboy," he reflects on the laughter, dreams, and bravery of the knights of the street who run around the city, weaving between trucks and traffic. Heaven's Bad Day" is a collaboration with Willie Nelson. Tu Te Vas" features French singer/rapper Letty.
