Chet also made two studio recordings, one with Enrico Pieranunzi and the other with the Space Jazz Trio. The album was produced by Norwegian guitarist Jon Larsen, who says that the album was recorded in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, in Montmartre. According to him, the Sismo studio in Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement of Paris was not so conspicuous from the outside, more like a bunker.However, upon entering the building, one can imagine that for decades it was a haven for jazz and blues musicians and a place for musicians to relax. In 1988, the control room was equipped with a multitrack tape recorder and an analog 16-track mixing console, old-fashioned but state-of-the-art equipment, perfect for recording jazz. Originally, the recording was made in a small room separate from Chet's quartet, where he recited his own poetry, and the performance and recitation were recorded on separate tracks.
