He is currently president of the Contemporary Music Society of Japan. This work is an overview of Tsubonoh's long creative career, including his relatively early and recent works from among his many compositions. The recent works, which bring out unknown sounds from the instruments, and the radical style of the 1970s, which uses graphic notation, show Tsubonoh's diversity and unchanging individuality at the same time.
