Mendelssohn, is a distant relative of the great German Romantic composer, Felix Mendelssohn. Krauss himself was \"so pleased\" when he was told that \"one day I received a phone call from a man who said his name was Mendelssohn,\" that he accepted the job.According to the material received from the Opus Collection, Schubert's Symphony No. 8(7) in B minor \"Unfinished\" (D.759), conducted by the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, was originally recorded in 1951 for the Amadeo CD by the Bavarian Broadcasting Company, but I was surprised when I heard it! I was so surprised to hear it! I could not believe that this 1951 recording of \"Unfinished\" was made by Krauss, the same conductor of Mendelssohn's \"A Midsummer Night's Dream\" that was recorded in the first half of the same CD, and it shook my consciousness. The first movement of \"Unfinished,\" with its fast tempo, began casually, but as the music progressed, I noticed a sense of urgency that was different from the usual.
