Lovecraft, released on Philips Records in October 1967. The music is a fusion of psychedelic and folk rock with a bewitching and eerie atmosphere. The band was often inspired by the literary works of horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, from whom the band takes its name. With a clever touch of folk, jazz, and horn arrangements based on an orthodox West Coast psychedelic rock sound in the same vein as Jefferson Airplane, it is no wonder that this album had a cult following!
