Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pavement's 1st release! The monumental alternative lo-fi album is being reissued in color vinyl! The debut album by US alternative and lo-fi legends Pavement is being reissued in limited-edition color splatter vinyl to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its release! This was the only work by the trio, which included the band's core members Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kamberg, as well as maverick drummer Garry Young, and led the lo-fi boom with a freewheeling, junky band ensemble that resonated with UK post-punk and shoegaze, but also thoroughly destroyed existing phrases and chord progressions musically. Even though the band's discography has become more sophisticated with each release, the rough-hewn performances and ideas, and Malkmus' talent as a melody-maker, which can be seen in the buds of his talent, have made this album a deeply rooted favorite among many fans, who claim it as their masterpiece. The album contains 14 tracks, including "Summer Babe (Winter Version)," one of the best-known songs from the early days of the band.This work will be the first release in 2022 in Matador's "Revisionist History" reissue series.
