Stone Free" is the only solo album by Cecil Ride, who worked with such great artists as Curtis Mayfield, Shy Lights, and Gene Chandler in his hometown of Chicago before moving to LA and releasing "Stone Free" in 1980 as a new challenge. The title track, "Stone Free," with its groovy intertwining instrumental forces and sexy vocals that combine austere, dandy vocals with a sexy falsetto, is the first track, followed by the refreshingly melodic, 80s modern "I'm So Glad I Found Your Love" (M2) and "Money's Funny" (M3), and "I'm So Glad I Found Your Love" (M4), which is a great example of the kind of music that Cecil Ride is known for. Money's Funny" (M5) are unparalleled on this disc. The funk tune "More Love" (M3), with its synths and bass, and the final song "Funk Is Here To Stay" (M8) will surely appeal to funk lovers as well! The original version of this album is a collector's item and a must have for any soul fan!

Tracklisting:

.Stone Free (Freak With Me)
.I’m So Glad I Found Your Love
.More Love
.Is That The Way To Your Heart?
.Money’s Funny
.Keep Dancin
.Million Dollar Love
.Funk Is Here To Stay
